The Wilderness

As soon as a land crystal is in your possession you can leave Mooncity and begin to explore Lamarge. The screen will display a picture of those landscape features your crystal lets you discern. At the beginning you can see forests, plains, hills, mountain ranges, swamps and rivers. Whenever your expedition leads you to settlements you can choose to enter them. The dialog box that will be displayed also helps you direct yourself towards the wilderness.

If you come upon inaccessible terrain or countryside that is hard to cross, a message will appear, preventing you from inadvertently entering the area. If you stride forth into deserts, grasslands or steep mountain ranges your party will use up their rations faster than in normal terrain. You should provide your heroes with sufficient rations before exploring difficult terrain. Otherwise, you would get a nasty surprise if your heroes pitifully died of starvation…

The party's current position is marked by a cross + on the land crystal. Use the arrow keys as follows to move around in the wilderness:

UP	Move one unit to the North.
DOWN	Move one unit to the South
LEFT	Move one unit to the West
RIGHT	Move one unit to the East.

Of course, you can also travel by using your mouse. Simply click on a destination on the map. Your party will then move towards that place.
