Introductory Notes
In order to help you orientate yourself we have included the most important explanations regarding the manual, mouse and keyboard controls here.
The manual
The manual covers a number of tasks. As you have already noticed it serves as a copy protection, containing the passwords. Next, you will read about the background story to Spirit of Adventure. The manual also gives you a number of clues and playing tips for easier progress. Finally, it should provide guidance when first embarking on your quest.
We recommend that you read the manual attentively. It will certainly help you survive the odd lethal encounter and guide you through difficult situations. A summary of all keyboard commands was included for role-playing veterans. They serve as a quick start reference.
Fare ye well, impatient adventurer, but remember that danger lurks everywhere. Evil may strike at any time, so be well-prepared…
Note on keyboard commands
The keyboard commands listed in the manual are mainly intended for PCs without a mouse. Owners of a rodent can choose either means of input.
< > - These pointed brackets always enclose the name of a key to be struck.
Note on mouse control
We recommend that you use a mouse for most convenient gameplay. This is especially valid for the Amiga and Atari ST versions, which really are intended for mouse control.
- These apostrophes always enclose an icon to be clicked on. E.g. click on MORE means that you should move the tip of the mouse arrow onto the screen display saying MORE and then press the left mouse button.
